Visa Information

  • The main student route is the Student visa (subclass 500).
  • Applicants need enrolment in an eligible course and a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).
  • Applicants must meet the applicable financial, health, character and Genuine Student requirements.
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is generally required unless an exemption applies.

Work Opportunities

Student visa holders can generally work up to 48 hours per fortnight while their course is in session and have unlimited work rights when the course is not in session, subject to visa conditions. Research master's and doctoral students have different work limits.

Post-Study Opportunities
